We are so thankful for everything we have in the Mt. Carmel library!  It has been amazing to
catalogue literally hundreds and hundreds of new and donated books for our facility.  If you would like
to donate any used books at any age level from your collection at home, we would be happy to accept
them.  Also, if you are interested in purchasing a book for our library, we would be most grateful.

           Library Cards
Each student and teacher from grades K-12 receive a library card.  These cards are used
for the purpose of checking out books in our library.  It is a computerized system, and the
students each have individual bar odes on their library cards that are scanned when they
    check-out/check-in a book.
Students in grades 7-12 are responsible for their own cards.  The cards for grades K-6
are stored in the library.  If students' cards are lost, there is a replacement fee of $3.00.

    Library Fines
There is a fee of 10 cents per day for each day that a book is overdue (excluding
weekends).  These fines are enforced in order to encourage students to remember to bring
their library books back on time so that other students may have the opportunity to read
    them.

National Young Readers Day
Grades K-6

Every year in the fall at Mt. Carmel Christian School we celebrate
National Young Readers' Day.  The students in grades K-6 come to
school dressed as a favorite book character and bring the book
with them.  The classes parade through the older students' rooms,
and Mrs. Byers has special people scheduled to come to the
library to read to the students.  The children also have classroom
parties.  To see pictures from this year's National Young Readers
Day, please go to
