The goals of the Athletic Program at Mt. Carmel

Christian School are the same as the goals

of

M.C.C.S. in general. The Athletic

Program

attempts to develop young people who

will live

their

lives based on the principles of

God's Word

rather

than their feelings or

emotions.

Although winning a game or competition is a goal

that each one has when he or she takes the

field

or

court, it is not the ultimate goal. Our students

are

taught that "true winning" is more

than just

winning on the scoreboard; it is giving one's best

to

the glory of God.

We

endeavor

to

prepare our young people

physically and

mentally to know the game, while

also

striving to instill

in each athlete the

determination not to sacrifice

the principles

taught

in the

Bible

even if it would

benefit our

side of the

scoreboard

during

competition.

Carmel offers opportunities

for boys in

So

ccer

and Basketball; and for girls in

Volleyball

and

Basketball.

We also take part in a spring

Track

and Field Meet and Softball Tournament

for

both

boys and girls.
